How much does a survey cost?
It depends on the type of survey, the size and shape of the tract, the quality of the record and the condition of the existing monuments. Send the address and what the survey is for and we will return a written quote, usually within one business day.
How long does a residential survey take?
Most residential lot and improvement surveys are scheduled within a few days of approval and delivered shortly after fieldwork, depending on research and current workload. Tell us your closing or construction date and we will plan around it.
Do you work outside of Texas?
Yes. Southline serves projects across Texas and the surrounding states. Where a project requires a license in another state, we either hold that license or partner with a locally licensed surveyor under our coordination. Ask us about your location.
What is the difference between a boundary survey and an ALTA survey?
A boundary survey establishes the property lines and corners. An ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey adds a title commitment review, plotting of recorded easements and exceptions, improvements, access, utilities and optional Table A items, and is certified to the buyer, lender and title company for a commercial transaction.
Can you provide files for my engineer or GIS team?
Yes. Deliverables can include AutoCAD or Civil 3D drawings and surfaces, point files, shapefiles or geodatabases, KMZ exhibits, orthomosaics and LiDAR point clouds, in the coordinate system and datum your project uses.
